Holocaust art contest

Nearly 600 students in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska put together inspiring work at this year’s Holocaust Center for Humanity (HCH) contest. Out of all those entries, four Nikola Tesla STEM High School students placed in the top three. This year’s “Celebrating Life: 2022 Holocaust Writing, Art, and Film Contest,” put on by HCH, challenges students to explore the history and stories of the Holocaust.

    New Student Registration

    Registration for all K-12 LWSD students is online

    Families who have already received an email confirming a spot in the tuition-based preschool or Head Start programs may also register online.

    All necessary documents can be accessed on the LWSD website and completed documents can be uploaded securely. Parents who are unable to upload documents may send them to the school by U.S. mail or contact the school to arrange a safe drop off.

    Kindergarten registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open.

    Important: While K-12 student registration is available throughout the school year and summer, families are highly encouraged to register students as soon as possible. Doing so helps LWSD to ensure that class sizes are balanced and adequate staff are hired in time for the new school year.

    Families may now register one or more of their students using Skyward, the district’s student information system. To do so, you will need a login (username) and password.

    • If you have a student currently attending the Lake Washington School District this school year, you have moved within the district and wish to transfer to another school, or if your student is returning to the district from a prior enrollment, use your Skyward Family Access login and password to register students from your own family. If you do not know your login and password, simply click on the Forgot your Login/Password link on the Skyward Family Access login page.
