How to Waive Extra-Curricular Fees

If your student qualifies for free and reduced meals, you can have the fees associated with extracurricular activities waived. This includes ASB cards, athletic participation and other non-curricular activity participation.

You must qualify for free and reduced meals each school year. If you already completed an application and provided your consent to share your eligibility status (Part 7 of the application) and you qualified for free and reduced meals, then extracurricular fees will automatically be waived when you go through the normal payment process. Please keep in mind that you must consent to share every school year. Unlike free and reduced meals, there is no carryover period from prior years consent.  A new free and reduced application/consent to share must be completed prior to waiving any extracurricular fees for the new school year.   

Please follow the instructions under A or B below depending on your stage in the process

  1. You submitted free and reduced lunch application and have been approved for this school year but did not provide your "consent to share" eligibility status.

    Please complete the Consent to Share Eligibility form and email it to F-RMealapp@lwsd.orgPlease allow 1-2 business days for the fees to be waived in Online Payments after completing the form.

    You must login to Online Payments and select the extra-curricular activity you would like your student to participate in. The fees associated with those activities should be waived and the amount due will be $0.00. You must complete the $0 purchase transaction for your student to be registered for the activity.
  2. You have not submitted a free and reduced meal application this school year and you believe you qualify.

    Please complete the Free and Reduced Application | Español and return to F-Rmealapp@lwsd.org. You must select the check box under #7 on the application, "consent to share child nutrition program eligibility information for additional benefits." Please allow 10 business days for the fees to be waived in Online Payments after completing the form.

    You must login to Online Payments and select the extra-curricular activity you would like your student to participate in. The fees associated with those activities should be waived and the amount due will be $0.00. You must complete the $0 purchase transaction for your student to be registered for the activity.
