Welcome Event for New & International Families

Lake Washington School District (LWSD), in coordination with Lake Washington PTSA, hosts a welcome event for our new and international families each year. Our welcome events are a great opportunity for families to learn about the school district, ask questions and meet other LWSD families.

This annual event is open to all and specifically directed at families who are new to the United States and relocating to the district.

This year's event is September 25, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the LWSD Resource Center. Speakers will present information in the Board room from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A community resource fair will take place from 4-5 p.m. in the lobby of the Resource Center.

LWPTSA is working to provide on-site childcare from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Children must be toilet trained and a parent or guardian must stay on-site.
