Meal Prices & Payments

Nutrition Services offers multiple options to pay for school meals, including online payment and paying with check or cash.

Adding funds to a lunch account

• Online payments may be made at MySchoolBucks.com using a credit card, debit card or via ACH Transfer from your bank account.
  • MySchoolBucks.com requires the Student’s ID number to create an account.
  • MySchoolBucks.com users a $3.75 convenience fee for credit/debit card meal payments and $1.95 for electronic check meal payments for a maximum payment limit of $150 per transaction.
  • Families may deposit to multiple student accounts in the same transaction. This will allow families of two or more students to make payments up to $400 in one transaction (or even $600 dollars if they have three students).
• Paying with check or cash
  • Checks and cash are accepted in elementary school offices and all school cafeterias. 
  • Checks should be made payable to LWSD Nutrition Services.
  • Please write your student’s "name" & "lunch account" in the memo line.

Student meal charge policy

Lake Washington School District is committed to providing nutritious meals to all students.

• Failure to pay for meals may result in the accrual of debt on the student’s account.
• Families will receive an automated email, text or phone call from ParentSquare and/or Mosaic (donotreply@nutrition.lwsd.org) once per week (Fridays) regarding their child’s meal account balance. Notifications will continue until account balance is paid off.  
• If the child’s account balance continues to remain negative after these attempts, Nutrition Services will contact the school designee who will connect with the families to problem solve ways to resolve the negative balance issue.

• Unresolved negative balances at the end of the year will be submitted to the accounting office for collection.
• Our Student Meal Debt Policy is guided by USDA, OSPI and LWSD policies and procedures, under RCW 28A.235.260.
