2 Semesters 1 Credit Fulfills: World Language

Prerequisite: Spanish 3

This class is conducted in Spanish using a communicative approach. Students will build on their knowledge to develop Intermediate Mid/High proficiency, using strings of sentences and various time frames to express themselves. Students continue to deepen their intercultural and communication skills through interpersonal speaking and writing, presentational speaking and writing, and interpretive reading and listening. Students continue to build proficiency through various mean, which may include reading articles and text, watching films in the target language, giving oral presentations, reading short stories, and writing original stories in Spanish. Topics focus on global challenges, science and technology, beauty and aesthetics, and the customs and traditions of the people of the Spanish-speaking world.
