MAT271/MAT272 - Honors Algebra 2
2 Semesters 1 Credit Fulfills: Math

Prerequisite:  Algebra 1 and Geometry

Honors Algebra 2 is a course designed for students who wish to deepen their mathematical knowledge and work at an accelerated pace. Students extend their work with each function family and will work with more algebraically rigorous solving. Examples include:

1. Linear Functions (solving systems with three variables)
2. Polynomial functions (operations and solutions including complex zeros)
3. Rational functions (operations, zeros, and vertical asymptotes)
4. Exponential functions (solving and transformations of the graph)
5. Logarithmic functions (properties and solving)

The course may also include additional topics such as parametrics, vectors, and sequences and series. District Adopted Curriculum: Big Ideas Math
