PED553 - Women's Strength Training
1 Semester 0.5 Credit Fulfills: PE


Students who identify as female and have a desire to want to improve their overall strength. This course concentrates on the implementation of a variety of exercises and activities to enhance and develop mental and physical strength, and physical literacy. This includes muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, and flexibility. This course progresses the individual through many phases of training for all areas of the body. There is a heavy emphasis on teaching proper technique to ensure safety while exercising. Students will develop individualized plans to reach personal goals.
