Students will have opportunities to learn, improve and analyze their muscular fitness. In this one semester course, students will establish the foundation in developing mental and physical strength. Students will apply principles of strength training in a variety of exercises and activities. Areas of focus may include: proper lifting techniques, core development, personalized lifting program, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility. Students will develop their strength foundation in becoming physically literate individuals who have the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity and strength.
