Walking & Yoga is a class for a low-impact, individual physical activity with a focus on mind-to-body awareness. This one semester course is designed to improve all fitness components cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility and body composition levels. The physically literate student will do this through a variety of cardio activities, yoga and core-strengthening exercises. This course also has an emphasis on connecting your mind to your body to help improve mental health through the practice of meditation and relaxation for stress relief. Walking & Yoga will involve both on and off campus walks.
