CVM301/CVM302 - AP Statistics
2 Semesters 1 Credit Fulfills: CTE & Math

The AP Statistics course introduces students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. There are four themes evident in the content, skills, and assessment in the AP Statistics course: exploring data, sampling and experimentation, probability and simulation, and statistical inference. Students use technology, investigations, problem solving, and writing as they build conceptual understanding. Some major assignments include designing and implementing sample surveys, observational studies, experiments, and critical statistical analysis of real-life data. By the end of this course student will have a working knowledge of the ideas and tools of practical statistics and be able to make informed decisions based on data. A graphing calculator is required for this course (TI 83+ or TI84 preferred).

This course meets Dual Credit Graduation Pathway. Students must take two semesters (full year) for Dual College Credit.
