This year, two LWSD safety patrollers, Arthur Chen of Ben Franklin Elementary and Max Robert Miller of Clara Barton Elementary were honored as Outstanding AAA School Safety Patrollers.
NASA astronaut Anne McClain has done quite a bit in the last year and a half. She spent nearly seven of those months aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
Earlier this school year, fourth- and fifth- grade students at Norman Rockwell Elementary had a special video chat with Tom Angleberger, a New York Times best-selling author.
In early November, students and families filled the school to mingle and explore the diverse community at Wilder.
Interested in day care for your children before and after the elementary school day in the Lake Washington School District? Some elementary schools in the district offer day care for students at the school, known as the Extended Day program. The District is responsible for that program and both hires and supervises the staff involved.
Nonprofit organizations also rent school facilities to offer private day care. Those programs are not run by the district. The staff is hired and supervised by the organization listed.
