Substance Use

Supports in Place at Schools
To continue to support students in making healthy choices when it comes to using drugs or alcohol, the District has a partnership with Youth Eastside Services. The partnership provides prevention/interventionists at each secondary school.

School Rules and Discipline
It is against school rules for students to possess, use, be under the influence of, transfer, sell or share drugs, alcohol, paraphernalia, cigarettes or vape-devices while on campus, on school transportation or at a school-sponsored activity.

Students found to have violated these rules may be referred to the prevention/interventionist for a risk assessment, in addition to receiving school discipline.
