Warehouse

The LWSD warehouse serves many purposes for the district. It operates as a site-to-site delivery system within the district boundaries, transporting lunches, mail, print center materials, curriculum, loaner equipment, PE materials and more. It also provides temporary storage and archiving services for Support Services and the Resource Center. In addition, the warehouse offers surplus materials for sale to the public when available and in accordance with administrative policies 6881 & 6882.

The district has partnered with GovDeals, an online auction platform, to sell surplus inventory once it has gone through the required surplus process as per RCW 28A.335.180. This process ensures that surplus educational materials and other items are disposed of in a transparent and legally compliant manner. By partnering with GovDeals, we are able to efficiently manage surplus inventory and contribute to sustainability efforts by allowing others to repurpose items that are still valuable.
