Redmond High School addition

As part of the 2022 Building Excellence Construction Levy, voters approved funding additional high school capacity on the eastside of the district. At the April 15, 2024 school board meeting, the LWSD Board of Directors approved redirecting the funds from the High School 10/Site 59 project to instead build additions at Eastlake and Redmond High Schools. This plan will add 24 permanent classrooms between two schools and will modify core space such as commons and hallways at each of the schools.

Project Updates

Update on the addition at Redmond High School

Earlier this week, staff, students and families at Redmond High School (RHS) were notified of an important update regarding the planned addition at their school. Due to extended design and city permitting timelines, we will be unable to meet our original project schedule.

2022 Building Excellence Levy – additional high school capacity – eastside area

At their April 15 meeting, the Lake Washington School District (LWSD) Board of Directors approved redirecting levy funds from the 2022 Building Excellence Construction Levy. LWSD will hold on construction at Site 59 in Sammamish and will redirect these funds to build additions at Eastlake High School and Redmond High School.
