Kirkland Middle School addition
As part of the 2022 Building Excellence Construction Levy, voters approved additions at Finn Hill, Kirkland and Redmond middle schools which will provide an additional 24 permanent classrooms to address the district’s growing enrollment. Kirkland Middle School will receive eight classrooms and support spaces in a one story addition.

Lake Washington School District was busy this year with construction projects that add space and much needed updates to our existing campuses for our students and staff.
Lake Washington School District recently hosted an industry tour for the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) at Kirkland Middle School, showcasing an innovative, 8-classroom modular addition.

Kirkland Middle School (KiMS) embraced innovation with the arrival of modular structures, paving the way for accommodating 200 more students. This expansion, featuring eight-classrooms, is a testament to community support, realized through the passing of the 2022 Building Excellence Levy.
Capital projects staff visited the manufacturer's warehouse, Blazer Industries, a few weeks ago to see the addition structure in pieces, or "modules" at this off-site location.
