Video: RHS and Clara Barton students collaborate on monstrous project

Students from Redmond High School (RHS) and Clara Barton Elementary have spent the spring collaborating on a very special, and monstrous, project. Kayce Gehring’s first grade class at Barton read the book “I Need My Monster” and drew pictures of monsters based on what they saw. It was then RHS teacher Jennifer De Mello e Souza’s idea to take those drawings and have students from her Ceramics II classes sculpt 3D versions of the monsters. The RHS students then brought their final products to Barton and unveiled them to the first graders.
