LWSD Winter Toy Drive and Clothing Drive a huge success

Our community came together in a big way for Lake Washington School District’s Winter Toy Drive and Clothing Drive, donating 800+ toys (eight pallets!) and five pallets of clothing to support students and families across the district. Lake Washington Schools Foundation partnered by helping collect monetary donations to purchase new toys, with a special thank you to Modern Woodmen of America, whose generous matching support helped those dollars go even further.

We’re deeply grateful to the many donors and volunteers who made this possible, including Timberlake Church, Salvon Ahmed Safe House Foundation, Autumn Joy Griffin, LWHS DECA, JHS PTSA, Lynette Apley, LWSD district and custodial staff, volunteers across the district, and the schools and sites that hosted clothing drop-offs: Lake Washington High School, Eastlake High School, Tesla STEM High School and the LWSD Resource Center.
