Ready, set, roll! Franklin students celebrate Walk & Roll to School Day

Ready, set, roll! Franklin students celebrate Walk & Roll to School Day

On October 8, Franklin Elementary students and their families came together to celebrate National Walk & Roll to School Day. The annual event encourages families to consider walking or rolling (bikes, scooters, etc.) to school more often, while also highlighting the importance of transportation safety.

Adding to the excitement, the school grounds were transformed for Franklin PTA’s Ninja Warrior Run, the fall fundraiser featuring races, games and more, set to take place later that day.

A mascot eagle stands on an asphalt track in front of a covered walkway, with trees and a school bus visible in the background.
A young girl in a leopard print cardigan stands next to a person in a bee costume on a paved surface, with a colorful mural and a fence in the background.
A woman and a child in the foreground with their fists raised, stand on a track with a basketball court and trees in the background.
A smiling woman in a white puffer jacket and a young boy in a black hoodie stand on an asphalt surface with a power line tower and trees in the background.
A family of four poses for a photo on a paved schoolyard with trees and buildings in the background.
A police officer in the foreground fist-bumps a young boy standing with his father, while a colorful mural and a blue tent form the background.
A handmade sign reading %22let's go Eagles! Don't give up!%22 is planted in a grassy field with a red flag and other signs in the foreground, while a large inflatable obstacle course and trees are visible in the background.
