Franklin Elementary Eagle Buddies: Inclusion ambassadors

Franklin Elementary Eagle Buddies: Inclusion ambassadors

At Benjamin Franklin Elementary on March 21, 25 Eagle Buddies presented their work for the year to Lake Washington School District officials and parents. Eagle Buddies is an inclusion and social club that started last school year. The students meet twice a month after school. The goal is for students who are with and without disabilities to come together and discover how to interact with others who may learn and socialize in different ways. There are five adults who support the Eagle Buddies Club while students are very much empowered to lead the way since they are looked at as inclusive ambassadors and model that behavior to the rest of the school.
