Thirteen Lake Washington School District students receive National Merit $2500 Scholarships
Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced today that 13 Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit $2500 Scholarships. Fifty-one students were selected statewide for these awards.
The students receiving National Merit $2500 Scholarships are:
- Achintya Agrawal (Redmond), Nikola Tesla STEM High School
- Sri Sai Meenakshi Arasada (Kirkland), Juanita High School
- Arin Barde (Sammamish), Eastlake High School
- Ashwika Mattam (Redmond), Lake Washington High School
- Manya Pradeep Narayan (Sammamish), Eastlake High School
- Alon Ragoler (Sammamish), Eastlake High School
- Sacchin Saravanan (Redmond), Nikola Tesla STEM High School
- Sneha Sharma (Sammamish), Eastlake High School
- Maxwell Shi (Redmond), Redmond High School
- Ramya Suresh (Redmond), Redmond High School
- Sakshi Verma (Redmond), Lake Washington High School
- Hongning Wang (Sammamish), Eastlake High School
- Wenjuan Zou (Redmond), Juanita High School
These students are 13 of the 2,500 distinguished high school seniors nationwide to win this scholarship. They were selected from a talent pool of more than 15,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.
National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners are selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors. They select students based on their academic record including difficulty level of subjects studied and grades earned; scores from Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®); contributions and leadership in school and community activities; an essay written by the finalist and a recommendation written by a high school official. These scholars may use their awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
