The goal of the communications department is to engage our communities, including parents, students, staff and community members. We provide information through a variety of media. Those communication tools include this website, social media, newsletters and more. Our goal is to provide all stakeholders the information they need.

Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced today that 11 Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit $2500 Scholarships. Fifty-four students were selected statewide for these awards.
Redmond, Wash. – The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has announced that 15 different LWSD schools have been recognized through the Washington School Recognition Program in the 2024-25 school year.
Redmond, WA — Lake Washington School District (LWSD) has been honored by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s (OSPI) Child Nutrition Services as a recipient of the “Rooted in Excellence Culturally Inclusive Meals” award. The award program highlights the creativity, dedication and impact of school nutrition teams across Washington state. LWSD partners with Sodexo to provide meal services to students.
