Change of Service & Opting Out of Service

Families have the right to opt out of highly capable services. Please contact Accelerated Programs at Change of Service Request Form for Highly Capable Services 2025-26 to request this change.

LWSD students who have opted out of highly capable services, or would like to return to their original level of service, may request to do so by contacting AccPro@lwsd.org. All requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and will be reviewed by the Multidisciplinary Placement Committee. 

LWSD does not provide deferment of services; students who are identified as needing services and choose to not access them need to participate in the current referral process.
