Installing language keyboard

Adding languages to a LWSD student laptop

Changing the keyboard language enables you to type the characters that are used in that language.
Instructions are for languages that are pre-loaded on all district devices. The list of languages available is below:

  • zh-cn (Simplified Chinese, China)
  • fr-fr (French)
  • de-de (German)
  • es-es (Spanish)
  • ja-jp (Japanese)
  • zh-tw (Traditional Chinese, Taiwan)
  • ru-ru (Russian)

Note: Students should be able to add other languages than the ones listed above. These languages are not pre-loaded and may take longer to install. Please plan accordingly.
