On May 8, 2025, Lake Washington School District celebrated a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rebuild & Enlarge project at Rockwell Elementary School.
On May 1, the Juanita Regional Choir held a concert featuring choirs from Juanita High School, Finn Hill Middle School, Keller Elementary, Juanita Elementary, Muir Elementary and Thoreau Elementary.

Please join us as we celebrate the groundbreaking for Rockwell Elementary School. This project creates space for 252 additional students while addressing an aging facility.
On Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, this year, Muir Elementary students had the opportunity to plant vegetable and flower seeds in celebration of the observance!
March is Music in Our Schools Month. As we celebrate this observance, the Eastlake High School choir welcomed choirs from Alcott, Blackwell, Mead, Smith, McAuliffe and Carson Elementary.
Five elementary school students in Lake Washington School District used their culinary skills to cook their favorite recipe for the 2025 Sodexo Future Chefs Challenge. Now in its fifteenth year, Future Chefs was designed to get students thinking about making healthy food choices while encouraging them to be active and creative in the kitchen.
The Lake Washington School District Support Services team, along with members of the construction project team, met with families and community members from the Rockwell Elementary School community on the evening of February 27. The goal of the event was to show the community the construction plans for the rebuild and enlarge project at Rockwell Elementary that will kick off this summer.
