Reflections pta arts contest graphic

Fourteen students were recognized for their artwork in many categories during this year’s Washington State PTA (WSPTA) Reflections contest. At the state level, students compete to earn the highest recognition in what they call Outstanding Interpretation, followed by the Award of Excellence and then an Award of Merit. Students who receive the Outstanding Interpretation award at the state level qualify and are forwarded to the National PTA Reflections competition.

Carson Elementary Mancala and game event

Kindergarten students and their families recently gathered right after school at Carson Elementary for a fun and meaningful family engagement event centered on learning, play and connection. The event gave kindergarteners the opportunity to proudly share their new skills while spending quality time playing games with their families.

Alcott Good Neighbor Open House

The Lake Washington School District Support Services team, along with members of the construction project team, met with families and community members from the Alcott community on the evening of March 12. The goal of the event was to show the community the construction plans for the Alcott Elementary rebuild and enlarge project that will kick off this spring.
