The Family Literacy Night at John Muir Elementary School was a big success. Families were able to enjoy literacy activities like fun tongue twisters, reading tic-tac-toe, a book fair and a book giveaway.

Lake Washington School District (LWSD) has 33 elementary schools (grades K-5), 14 middle schools (grades 6-8) and nine high schools (grades 9-12) throughout Kirkland, Redmond and Sammamish, Washington. (Note: Exact grade levels may vary in choice schools. Schools that serve more than one grade level are counted in each grade level they serve.)
Elementary Schools
LWSD has 29 neighborhood elementary schools. In addition, four choice elementary schools provide optional schooling alternatives and meet specific needs and interests.
Middle Schools
LWSD has eight neighborhood middle schools and one secondary online school. In addition, six choice middle schools provide optional schooling alternatives to serve specific needs and interests.
Sammamish River Valley Online School
High Schools
There are four neighborhood high schools and one online secondary school in the district. In addition, five choice high schools serve specific needs and interests, including academic rigor, an increased pace of study, vocational programs and project-based learning.
