High School Grade Enhancement – Online

This program is for high school students looking to improve a grade in a course they completed previously. Students will be enrolled in an online grade enhancement course that they will complete independently. Students can retake either semester 1 or semester 2, or both.

Secondary Math Acceleration – Online

The accelerated math courses (Accelerated Algebra 1 and Accelerated Geometry) allow students to move more quickly through LWSD math pathways resulting in higher-level math options in their junior and senior years of high school. Accelerated courses will be conducted online with ongoing support.
Online registration and payment opens April 20 and closes June 26 (previously June 18). You may also register online and pay by mailing in a check – postmarked by June 24, 2026 (previously June 17).

This program is for students in secondary through fourth grade who are not yet reading at grade level. The program focuses on foundational reading skills to accelerate learning on skills to read at grade level.
Students are required to attend in person daily, Monday through Friday.

Elementary Title 1 Summer Program – in person

This program is for students in kindergarten through fourth grade. The program focuses on foundational reading skills to accelerate learning on skills to read at grade level and building background knowledge through interactive science explorations.

Middle School Bridge Academy – online

Bridge Academy is an invitation-only reading intervention program for students currently in grades 6-8. Students are identified for the program through reading assessments and collaboration with school teams. Students in the program receive one hour daily of direct instruction synchronously online. Bridge Academy focuses on improving reading fluency and comprehension and on promoting reading for enjoyment. The curriculum includes an online adaptive reading curriculum as well as direct teacher instruction.

This program is for high school students in need of course credit for a course (s) previously taken in core graduation courses. Students are identified based on need to support on-time graduation using school counselor recommendations in support of individual student graduation plans. This program is not for grade improvement, nor earning original credit for pathway acceleration. This program is for students who previously attempted a course and did not receive credit.
Students attend online and can take one course at a time and work at their own pace. They may be able to earn more than .5 credit depending on their pace. Courses offered: English 9-12, World History, U.S. History, Contemporary World Problems, American Government (Civics), Biology, Chemistry, Algebra 1 and 2, and Geometry.
Students will need to meet with their school counselor to enroll in this invitational program.
