Lottery Notification Details

Lottery notifications will be emailed to the primary email address attached to the student’s application. Notifications will be sent out on Friday, January 17, 2025. 

Results will be sent from choiceschoolprograms@lwsd.org, this is an unmonitored email account, please do not reply to these emails. The email will indicate if your student will be offered a spot in the noted choice school or if they have been placed on the waitlist for that school. 

Please wait for the school to reach out to you directly to accept or decline placement and check their website for waitlist information. 

The notification emails will start to go out no later than 9 a.m. on January 17, and will be sent by school in the following order:

Elementary
  1. Community School (Grades 1-5)
  2. Discovery Community School (Grades K-5) *
  3. Dual Language Program at Einstein Elementary (Grades K-5) *
  4. Explorer Community School (Grades 1-5)
  5. Mead STEM Program (Grades 1-5)
Middle school
  1. Environmental & Adventure School (EAS) (Grades 6-8)
  2. International Community School (ICS) (incoming grades 6-8 will go out in this round)
  3. Northstar Middle School (Grades 6-8)
  4. Renaissance School of Art & Reasoning (RSAR) (Grades 6-8)
  5. Stella Schola (Grades 6-8)
High School**
  1. Cambridge Program @ Juanita High School (Grades 9-12)
  2. International Community School (ICS) (incoming grades 9-12 will go out in this round)
  3. Tesla STEM High School (Grades 9-12)

* The kindergarten application will close on Friday, February 28 at 11:59 p.m. The kindergarten lottery for both Discovery Community School and the Dual Language Program at Einstein will take place on Friday, March 7 and notifications will be sent to families on Friday, March 14 by 4 p.m.

**Please note: It will take all day for the 9000+ notifications to go out. If you are waiting for notification from one of the schools towards the end of this list, it will not come until later in the day, please be patient. 

If you applied to a choice school and do not receive any email by end of day on January 17, please email choiceschool@lwsd.org with your student’s name, birthdate and the school you applied to but did not hear back on. We will investigate and respond to you starting Tuesday, January 21 (offices will be closed Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day).
