Student Learning
Students learn about sustainability through instruction on conservation and natural resources in science, social studies and other areas.
Community partners also provide assistance. For example, the King County Green Schools Program provides assistance, educational resources and recognition for schools. Sustainability Ambassadors inspires students to initiate sustainability goals in their communities and measure performance along the way.

Ever since Environmental & Adventure School (EAS) was founded, students have participated in community service projects.
The sixth graders at Rose Hill Middle School worked on an exciting new unit on ecosystems restoration in science this fall. During this unit, students not only learned what makes a healthy forest ecosystem but also got the opportunity to plan and execute their very own restoration project for a damaged ecosystem on Rose Hill’s campus.
