Special Services Parent and Community Advisory Team Application

The role of parents in the education of their child with a disability is unique. We are developing a Parent and Community Advisory Group for Special Services in Lake Washington School District in order to create and develop collaboration between families and special services administration. This group will work collectively on improving educational outcomes for students with disabilities.

We are seeking representation of parents from elementary, middle and high schools and programs throughout the district. We hope to have parents participate with children that represent a variety of needs and abilities. Participants will be asked to attend bi-monthly meetings in the evenings at the district office. Applicants will be selected to create diverse representation from throughout the district. The application deadline is November 30. Parents will be notified the following week.
