A video message from LWSD Superintendent Dr. Jane Stavem on planning for the remainder of the school year and beyond.

We want to update you on grading for this semester based on the new information districts have received from the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). At the end of April, OSPI provided new rules and guidance about grading in light of the COVID-19 school closures. The rules are intended to address the current and future needs of students given the difficult conditions we all continue to experience during this global health crisis.

Dear Families,

As we finish our first week of curriculum-based remote learning, we want to thank our community for the tremendous efforts to make this transition. We know that everyone in our community including families, teachers, staff and administrators are working hard to support our students in these difficult times.

As we plan ahead, it is helpful to hear from you. We’re asking that you take a few minutes to complete this short survey https://survey.k12insight.com/r/N7RcIM. Responses are anonymous and results will be used to help us plan for continued remote learning across the district.
