Holocaust art contest

Nearly 600 students in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska put together inspiring work at this year’s Holocaust Center for Humanity (HCH) contest. Out of all those entries, four Nikola Tesla STEM High School students placed in the top three. This year’s “Celebrating Life: 2022 Holocaust Writing, Art, and Film Contest,” put on by HCH, challenges students to explore the history and stories of the Holocaust.

    Holocaust art contest

    LWHS and RHS softball state champs

    Congratulations to both the Redmond High School (RHS) and Lake Washington High School (LWHS) softball teams as they both took first place at state.

    Several teams with students from Lake Washington School District (LWSD) competed at this year’s VEX Worlds Robotics competition. There were 820 teams that competed at the event in Dallas, Texas, held from May 5-7. A few teams from LWSD saw success at the world championships.

    Lake Washington School District students are ready to make a big splash in the health sciences industry. Eighteen individuals or teams finished in first place and many more placed in the top three at the 2022 HOSA Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference held virtually March 7-11. 

    Tesla STEM AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award

    Nikola Tesla STEM High School has earned the College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles. Schools honored with the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award have expanded girls’ access in AP computer science courses.
