A team of 13 sixth- and seventh-graders designed and built 7” by 7” cube satellites for atmospheric research. Students worked in teams to program the flight computers and sensors to collect the information.
Remember me: Kirkland Middle School Builder’s Club holds car wash to raise money for Legacy Project
Kirkland Middle School’s Builders Club held its Annual Car Wash with members of the Kirkland Kiwanis Club on Saturday, May 13 to raise money for the school’s legacy project. Each year, members of the outgoing class select a “legacy project”, a project by which future classes will remember them. The Builders Club raised a total of $585 for the legacy project and despite their battle with rain and hail, the students ended the day on a high note enjoying an hour of sun.
The Legacy Project this year is to rebuild a bench around a tree in the front of the school. The bench has been there since the original school was built.
