Rose Hill Middle School pottery students got hands-on experience practicing Raku, a traditional Japanese pottery technique, with a special guest from Seattle Pottery Supply. Two kilns were set up outside the art room where students gained an appreciation and understanding of the technique that is often used in professional pottery studios and is different from the firing done in the art room kiln. Finished raku pots made by the students will be on display around the school.
