Nearly 600 students in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska put together inspiring work at this year’s Holocaust Center for Humanity (HCH) contest. Out of all those entries, four Nikola Tesla STEM High School students placed in the top three. This year’s “Celebrating Life: 2022 Holocaust Writing, Art, and Film Contest,” put on by HCH, challenges students to explore the history and stories of the Holocaust.
Rare score – Former ICS student earns every point on AP exam
It is one thing to get a score of five on any Advanced Placement (AP) exam, but to get every, single point possible is very unique. Elizabeth Fu, International Community School class of 2021, is one of just 375 students across the world to accomplish this. Fu accomplished this feat in May by earning every point possible on the AP Research Exam, receiving the maximum score on each portion of the exam.
“This outstanding accomplishment is likely a direct reflection of the top-quality education being offered at International Community School,” said Trevor Packer, Head of the Advanced Placement Program. “We applaud Elizabeth's hard work and the AP teacher responsible for engaging students and enabling them to excel in a college-level course.”
According to an AP press release, Colleges and universities around the world receive AP scores for college credit, advanced placement and/or consideration in the admission process.
