Two rising seniors from Nikola Tesla STEM High School (Tesla STEM) used mapping to tackle an important issue for a local endangered species. Siddhant Porwal and Druhin Bhowal brought awareness to the Southern Resident Orca Whale (SROW) population decline through state and national ArcGIS mapping competitions.
Prepared for their futures: Five LWSD students prove that they are future business leaders at National Conference
Five Nikola Tesla STEM High School (Tesla STEM) students finished in the top ten at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference held in Chicago, Ill. from June 29-July 2. Forty-four students from Tesla STEM participated at the national event. Five students placed in the following categories at the national competition:
- Bhavya Nandikanti, Karina Kejriwal and Aarav Khanna – Third place, Sales Presentation
- Divya Ramu – Fourth Place, Introduction to Financial Math
- Rohit Karthik – Ninth place, Computer Problem Solving
