Holocaust art contest

Nearly 600 students in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska put together inspiring work at this year’s Holocaust Center for Humanity (HCH) contest. Out of all those entries, four Nikola Tesla STEM High School students placed in the top three. This year’s “Celebrating Life: 2022 Holocaust Writing, Art, and Film Contest,” put on by HCH, challenges students to explore the history and stories of the Holocaust.

    Good business sense – several LWSD students qualify for national FBLA competition


    WA FBLA

    Students at Nikola Tesla STEM High School (Tesla STEM) have some serious business skills. Dozens of students from Tesla STEM competed at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference in Spokane between April 10-13. Six individuals and teams finished in first place. Many more placed in the top four, which qualifies them for the national conference in Chicago, Ill. from June 24-27. Teams or individuals who place between fifth and tenth also have a possibility of being invited to the national conference. Students participate in a variety of performance, role play and testing events. The focus of the event is to provide participants a path to career success, personal achievement and business leadership.
