Two LWSD high schools win gold medals for theater work

Redmond High School and Eastlake High School each received gold medals this year from the Washington State Thespians. The organization recognizes the work of theater troupes from high schools across the state. Schools receive a medal for their work both onstage and off. Most notably, it is an opportunity to identify the programs who made the biggest strides from one year to the next. 

The Washington State Thespian Conference was canceled this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It was scheduled to take place March 19-21 in Bellingham, Wash. at Western Washington University. Each year the conference is an opportunity for high school groups to showcase their talents through performance. More than 1,600 students statewide had signed up to participate.
