Rose Hill Elementary students get a glimpse into Seattle’s past
Were you ever curious what a lard pail looked like from the late 1800’s? Students from Rose Hill Elementary got an up-close look at this item and more in October. The Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) brought pictures and actual items from more than 100 years ago to the school. Other items included button hook shoes, a Sears and Roebuck catalog, a photo plate holder and more. Students also learned about primary resources and what researchers do to examine a subject.
