Strong kids begin with strong minds. That's why Jordan McClellion at Juanita Elementary is nurturing her students to see the best in themselves through the "affirmation mirror" station.
Earth Day 2021: Rosa Parks Elementary
Make that Friday-night pizza delicious and nutritious with fresh, home-grown vegetables. As part of Earth Week, the Rosa Parks Elementary PTSA distributed seeds and soil for students to plant at home. Some kindergarten and first grade students planted herbs and vegetables to make a “pizza garden” in the school “pea patch.”
The PTSA launched a “Sustainability Slogan/Graphic Contest” in March based on the theme of “Waste Reduction.” The winner in each age group was announced during a live Teams event on Earth Day. Students also played music during the virtual event with instruments they built at home using recycled materials.
