Earth Day 2021: Emily Dickinson Elementary and Explorer Community School

Explorer Community School and Emily Dickinson Earth Day

Kindergarten, first and second grade students at Emily Dickinson Elementary and Explorer Community School recently had a chance to participate in the Curiosity Quest Virtual Assembly from King County Green Schools. The assembly is presented by two professional actors. It teaches students how to keep waste out of the landfill and make choices that protect the land, oceans and atmosphere.

The two schools are also participating in virtual workshops that expand on information from the assembly. During library lessons this month, students are learning about how to protect the environment as part of their Earth Day activities.
