April 23, 2021: Secondary COVID-19 District Evaluation
Per the District’s evaluation, all LWSD Schools will continue with current learning model. No changes to 4-day per week schedule.
Earlier this week, we indicated in our Pathway Forward message that we would set benchmark dates for evaluating COVID case rates and test positivity on four dates throughout the remainder of this school year (April 23, May 7, May 21, and June 4). As of today, the following data is being reported by King County Public Health:
|County||Cases per 100,000 over 14 days||Test Positivity Rate|
|LWSD Reported Region||Cases per 100,000 over 14 days||Test Positivity Rate|
|Case Rate||0-179||180-219||220 or higher|
|Test Positivity||0% - 8.9%||9% - 10.9%||11% or higher|
Additionally, we have been monitoring positive cases in our schools to determine if there is any evidence of epidemiological spread on our campuses.
|Contact tracing does not demonstrate evidence of spread on our campus||Contact tracing indicates limited (less than 5) epidemiologically linked cases||Contact tracing indicates significant spread on our campus|
Therefore, as a result of our evaluation of this data, all LWSD Schools will continue with current learning model. No changes to 4-day per week schedule.
