Ravens celebrate new synthetic turf field during season opener
The Juanita Ravens kicked off the 2021 football season with a win on the stadium’s new synthetic turf field on September 3 against the Inglemoor High School Vikings. Dr. Jon Holmen, Superintendent, celebrated the school’s upgraded facilities by visiting with players before the opening game and tossing the coin at Harold Bergh Field. Raven cheerleaders were also among the first to try out the resurfaced track.
“The new field turf at Juanita High School provides our students the opportunity to practice and compete on a state-of-the-art surface,” said John Appelgate, Director of Athletics and Activities. “In addition, the new turf is a fantastic complement to the beautiful new school and overall athletic complex.”
