Lake Washington Area Families – We need your input!

Lake Washington Area Families – We need your input!

This fall, a boundary committee will be convened to analyze and make recommendations for the attendance areas of the schools affected by current/potential overcrowding in the Lake Washington area. Specifically, the following schools may be impacted by these boundary updates:

  • Audubon Elementary
  • Franklin Elementary
  • Kirk Elementary
  • Lakeview Elementary
  • Rose Hill Elementary
  • Rush Elementary
  • Twain Elementary
  • Kirkland Middle School
  • Rose Hill Middle School

The boundary committee will be made up of the principals from each school and a team of district administrators. The committee’s charge is to provide a recommendation to the superintendent in early spring for implementation in fall 2023. Changes to middle school boundaries will be implemented in fall 2024. The superintendent will make a final recommendation for school board action.

The boundary committee will use criteria to evaluate boundary options.

We value your input. We invite you to take a survey to rank the importance of the criteria. Throughout the boundary process, families will have several opportunities to provide feedback on possible boundary scenarios.

Families received the link to the survey directly in ParentSquare.

The deadline to complete the survey is Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

Thank you in advance for providing your feedback.
