Over 540 additional students recognized nationwide
Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced yesterday that two additional Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarships:
- Heng-Min Tan, Redmond High School – National Merit Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Scholarship
- Sahas Goli, Redmond High School – National Merit Vanderbilt University Scholarship
Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among Finalists in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
These Merit Scholar designees join more than 3,500 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in June, including one other Redmond High School student, Shreya Kedia. Kedia received a National Merit University of Southern California Scholarship.
