Holocaust art contest

Nearly 600 students in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska put together inspiring work at this year’s Holocaust Center for Humanity (HCH) contest. Out of all those entries, four Nikola Tesla STEM High School students placed in the top three. This year’s “Celebrating Life: 2022 Holocaust Writing, Art, and Film Contest,” put on by HCH, challenges students to explore the history and stories of the Holocaust.

Support students with a career connected learning opportunity

Career connected learning allows students to explore and prepare for a broad range of careers. The school district forms partnerships with local businesses to bring mentors to the classroom or students to the workplace. There is a broad variety of career connected opportunities and ways to get involved from guest speakers who discuss their career pathway to business internship programs. It is our goal to forge a partnership between students, schools and local employers where everyone makes an investment and all receive value.

Some types of career connected learning are guest speakers, job shadows, mock interviews, mentoring, internships, worksite tours, career fairs and youth apprenticeships.

Please give some thought about how your skills, interests, training or experience could provide a "real-life" application to our classrooms or student activities. We have no doubt you will enjoy the experience!
