2021 LWSD Teen Startup Challenge
Are you a high school student with an idea for a new product or business? This challenge is for you!
Completed application packet is due on September 27, 2021 by midnight via email to Kate Atvars, College and Career Readiness Program Specialist.
What is the LWSD Teen Startup Challenge?
The LWSD Teen Startup Challenge is designed to promote student startup ideas and venture creation. The challenge provides the opportunity for high school students to win prizes and learn from local business leaders. Finalists will present their ideas and business plans and receive invaluable feedback from successful professionals.
Who can participate?
The challenge is open to high school students in Lake Washington School District.
What are the prizes?
The winning students/teams will be featured at Investor Sharks Northwest, will receive feedback and advice from some of the biggest venture capitalists and angel investors in the Puget Sound Region, and will be awarded prize money from the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce!
All participants will receive recognition and awards!
How do I enter?
- Complete the application packet by September 27, by midnight, and email completed packet to Kate Atvars (katvars@lwsd.org), College and Career Readiness Program Specialist.
- Finalists advancing to the Investment Round will be notified by Monday October 4, 2021. Finalists will prepare and submit a 10-minute presentation/pitch to Kate Atvars by Monday, October 11. Finalists will receive additional details regarding presentation requirements.
