Students at Redmond High School come into their Computer Science and Engineering course with little to no programming skills. By the time they leave, students are creating working robots. The robots are so advanced that students use their own phones to control the machines via Bluetooth technology.
Lake Washington School District provides programs and services to support student academic success, safety and social-emotional well-being. District and school staff work to prevent issues related student harassment, intimidation and bullying, support students facing those and other difficult situations, and provide disciplinary action when needed. Counseling, athletic and activity, attendance, drug and alcohol prevention and intervention programs are also used throughout the district to support students’ well-being.
