The sixth graders at Rose Hill Middle School worked on an exciting new unit on ecosystems restoration in science this fall. During this unit, students not only learned what makes a healthy forest ecosystem but also got the opportunity to plan and execute their very own restoration project for a damaged ecosystem on Rose Hill’s campus.
Wellness Screening - Fall 2021
As part of a community-wide effort to contribute to the safety of our students, families and staff, we are planning to use the “Wellness Screening” feature in Skyward to help us respond more effectively when students are exhibiting potential COVID symptoms. For the start of the year, we are asking that all families use the Wellness Screening feature in Skyward Family Access or Skyward Student Access each morning to indicate potential symptoms, whether the student plans to come to school or be absent.
This Wellness Screening is one part of our larger safety planning that includes contact tracing, testing, staff vaccination requirements, an increase in health staff, and quarantines when appropriate following health department direction. We believe that using the system in this way will help us to better or more quickly identify students who have symptoms that may require a follow-up from school health staff so that we can respond appropriately and provide support for families and schools.
It is important to note that this process is not required for school entry. We are asking families to please consider helping our community by completing this online process each school day.
- How early can I complete the Wellness Screening in Skyward?
- Do I need to complete the Wellness Screening if I am going to be absent?
- If I am attending school remotely, do I need to complete the Wellness Screening in Skyward daily?
- I have not attested for the day but the Wellness Screening shows a status. I want to change the responses, but it won’t allow me. Why?
