Sixty-one Lake Washington School District teachers achieved or renewed their National Board Certification®, as announced by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
These groups provide input on major issues or decisions facing the district. They often include a mix of parents, community members, and staff members, such as principals.
College & Career Readiness Task Force - Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding options for grades 9-12.
Long-Term Facilities Task Force - Recommends long-term facilities strategy to the School Board. Report recommendations, accepted by the board in November 2015, became the basis for a planned set of bond measures.
Multi-Tiered System of Supports Advisory - Develops and recommends a Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework for Lake Washington School District. The framework will include evidence-based practices and data-driven decision-making processes to meet the academic and behavioral needs of all students.
School/Home Communications Task Force - Explores best practices in school communication with families.
School Start Time Advisory - Reviews potential school start time options, continue to engage stakeholders in input and feedback processes, and will ultimately make a recommendation for school start and dismissal times.
