Redmond, Wash. – At a live event on the evening of Wednesday, January 6, Lake Washington School District (LWSD) Superintendent, Dr. Jon Holmen, announced Pathway Forward, LWSD’s plan to return students to in-person learning for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

An International Community School student is the 2019-20 winner of the sixth annual Washington State Zine Contest. Katya Rukhlinskaia, who is now in eighth grade, won for grades 7-9 for her “Tribes: The Cowlitz” zine entry.

    School/District Communications Advisory

    Committee Purpose:
    The School/District Communications Advisory group brings together district communications department staff members with individuals doing communications for schools and PTSAs to share information and best practices.

    Connection to Strategic Goal:
    Goal 5: Engage our communities

    Responsibilities:
    The School / District Communications Advisory provides informal feedback to the district communications department around districtwide communications efforts and tools. It enables those working in communications at the school level to share with peers what is working and where they are having challenges.

    Meetings:
    Three times per year.

    Members:
    District communications department members, school webmasters, school PTSA Communications VPs, school newsletter editors, all those engaging in mass communication at the school level.
